Melanoma is a pigment cell malignant tumour. It usually appears as a pigmented patch on the skin. Compared to other new formations on the person's skin, a melanoma will differ in size, colour or tissue density.
Depending on the characteristics of the skin structure, melanoma occurs on the soles of the feet, palms of the hands, face and in other skin areas.
Melanoma on the face is diagnosed at a significantly younger age today than before.
