Warts

Benign nodules of hard consistency on the skin/mucous membrane.
Wart

The papilloma virus spreads from person to person and usually reaches the skin through a tiny scratch.

The appearance of the warts can vary depending on the location, but the most common warts are nodules with a slightly rough surface, which when scratched reveal small black spots (thrombosed blood vessels).

Common warts are benign nodules on the skin/mucous membrane with a hard consistency. Treatments include local cold therapy and exfoliating medicines. It is not necessary to treat common warts.
